Combining PDFs often involves more than placing files one after another. You may need to move a cover page to the front, rotate a sideways scan, remove blank pages, or insert photos into the correct position before the final document is ready.
If you want to do that without sending the files to an online processing service, the pages can be loaded and reorganized directly in the browser. PDF Organizer can place PDF pages, JPG/PNG/WebP images, and PowerPoint (PPTX) slides in one list. This guide covers a practical workflow while preserving the originals and explains the document features that may not survive editing.
Decide the final page structure before exporting
When several PDFs are involved, it is often easier to think in pages rather than files. Decide on a final order such as cover, application form, supporting material, and photos, then add the source files to PDF Organizer and rearrange the page cards. Multiple selected pages can be moved together, which helps preserve groups while changing where they appear.
JPG, PNG, and WebP images can be added to the same list, so a photographed page or separate image does not need to be converted into its own PDF before merging. PowerPoint (PPTX) slides can also be included, making it possible to combine PDF material and presentation slides into one distribution document.
Rotate, remove, and preview pages before saving
Scanned PDFs often contain a few sideways pages or accidental blank backsides. Rotate or remove those pages in the page list, and preview anything that needs closer inspection. Undo and redo make it possible to experiment without modifying the original source files themselves.
If images are included, also check how they fit on the page. Fit keeps the whole image visible, Fill reduces unused margins by filling more of the page, and Original Size uses the source dimensions as the basis. For PDFs that will be printed, check margins and orientation as well as the on-screen appearance before exporting.
Export only the pages you actually need
You can load extra source material while working without placing every page into the final file. Exporting only selected pages creates a submission or sharing subset without deleting the originals or rebuilding separate PDFs first. Exporting all pages instead produces one PDF in the current list order regardless of where the original file boundaries were.
If the exported PDF needs protection before sharing, an AES-256 password can be set at save time. A password used to open an encrypted input PDF is not automatically carried into the new document, so set protection again on the finished export when required.
Know which PDF features may not survive editing
Reordering and merging pages changes more than their visual sequence; it also creates a new PDF document structure. Editing a digitally signed PDF invalidates the original signature. Document-level information such as bookmarks, attachments, and forms may also not be preserved in the export. For formal documents where those features matter, confirm that you are working on a copy that is safe to edit.
PDFs with many pages, high-resolution images, or PowerPoint files with many slides can use substantial device memory. Because the files are processed locally rather than uploaded to Browser Kitty for server-side processing, performance depends on the device. For very large documents, work in smaller groups and keep the source and finished PDF under separate filenames.
Step by step
- Open PDF Organizer and add the PDFs you want to organize. Add JPG/PNG/WebP images or PowerPoint (PPTX) files as well when needed.
- Drag the page cards into the final order. Select several pages when you want to move a group together.
- Rotate sideways pages, remove blanks or unwanted pages, and preview anything that needs closer inspection.
- Use undo and redo as needed, then review the final page structure.
- Choose whether to export the entire list or only selected pages.
- Optionally set an output password and save the finished PDF under a separate filename from the originals.
PDF Organizer
Organize PDFs, images, and PowerPoint slides together, then reorder, rotate, remove, selectively export, and password-protect the result in your browser.
Tips and limitations
- Do not overwrite formal or received source documents; keep the original PDF unchanged.
- If digital signatures, forms, bookmarks, or attachments matter, confirm whether they need to be preserved before editing.
- Large PDFs and many high-resolution images can consume significant browser memory, so split very large jobs into smaller sessions when necessary.
Frequently asked questions
Are files uploaded to a server when I merge PDFs?
No. Loading PDFs, images, and PowerPoint files, reorganizing pages, and generating the output PDF all happen in the browser. The selected files are not uploaded to a Browser Kitty backend.
Can images and PowerPoint slides be combined with PDFs?
Yes. JPG, PNG, and WebP images and PowerPoint (PPTX) slides can be placed in the same list as PDF pages and exported together. Word (DOCX) is not currently supported.
Does a digital signature remain valid after reorganizing a PDF?
No. Editing a digitally signed PDF and saving a new document invalidates the original digital signature. Do not reorganize a document if that signature must remain valid.
Can I organize a password-protected PDF?
Yes, if you enter the correct password to open it. The input password is not automatically carried to the export, so set a new output password when the finished PDF also needs protection.
