Printing address, product, asset, or QR labels on a physical label sheet requires more than matching the size of one label. Rows, columns, outer margins, gaps, and small printer-feed offsets all matter, and a tiny geometry error can become obvious near the bottom or right edge of the sheet.

Start by defining the real label-sheet geometry
For label printing, the real physical geometry matters more than the product name printed on the package. Set the paper size, label width and height, columns and rows, top and left margins, and horizontal and vertical gaps to match the sheet or its specification. A4, Letter, and custom paper are supported in millimeters or inches.
The built-in layouts in Label Sheet Maker are manufacturer-neutral dimension presets, not official vendor templates. Check the actual sheet dimensions and review the automatically calculated right and bottom margins to make sure the whole layout is consistent.

Design one label on the canvas
After the sheet geometry is correct, do not edit every position individually. Design one label first. Add text, local PNG / JPEG / WebP images, QR codes, Code 128, or Code 39, then move and resize those elements on the canvas.
On desktop, double-click fixed text to jump to its text field and select the whole value. Arrow keys move the selected element by 0.2 mm and Shift + arrow moves it by 1 mm. Snapping can be toggled, and Alt temporarily disables snapping while dragging when you need finer placement.
Size QR and barcodes for the printed result, not just the screen
QR codes are generated from UTF-8 strings and can carry product links or management URLs. Code 128 currently uses Set B for printable ASCII, while Code 39 supports uppercase letters, digits, spaces, and its supported symbols. Choose a symbology that the system reading the label supports.
A code that looks fine on screen can still be difficult to scan if the printed size is too small or the printer softens the bars or modules. Leave enough physical size and quiet space on the real label, and scan a printed test before committing to a large run.
Merge changing label content from CSV / TSV data
When product names, IDs, URLs, addresses, or other values change for every label, load CSV / TSV data and bind columns to text or code elements. UTF-8, UTF-8 BOM, and Shift_JIS are supported. You can choose or drag-and-drop a file, or paste spreadsheet-style table data directly.
For example, bind name to a text element, code to Code 128, and url to a QR code. The layout stays the same while each row changes the values. Switch through row previews after the merge and check unusually long names or codes for overflow. v1.0.0 does not directly import XLSX files or Google Sheets.
Reuse a partially used sheet by filling only empty positions
If a label sheet has already been partly used, manually mark the used positions on page 1. New data is placed only into the remaining positions while keeping its original order, so you do not need to insert blank rows into the CSV just to align the data with the sheet.
If more labels remain after the open positions on page 1 are filled, page 2 and later are treated as fresh sheets. Used positions are selected manually from the actual sheet; v1.0.0 does not include camera-based automatic detection.
Calibrate print alignment with the alignment PDF and X/Y offsets
Even when the on-screen layout is correct, printer feed and driver behavior can shift the whole sheet—for example 1 mm to the right or 0.5 mm down. Before using the real label stock, generate the alignment PDF with label outlines, center marks, and position numbers and print it on ordinary paper for comparison.
If the whole page has a consistent offset, correct X/Y in 0.1 mm steps. Named calibration presets can be stored locally for reuse with the same printer and sheet. If the error grows progressively toward the right or bottom, check label width/height, gaps, paper geometry, and print scaling instead of treating it as a simple X/Y offset.
Print the final PDF at Actual size / 100%
Even if Label Sheet Maker generates a PDF with the correct geometry, options such as Fit, Fit to page, or automatic scaling in the PDF viewer can resize the entire page and move every label away from its intended position. Choose Actual size, 100%, or the equivalent option in the print dialog.
Final alignment still depends on the printer driver and the mechanical feed accuracy of the printer. For important jobs, print a small test first and verify both placement and QR / barcode readability before producing the full batch.
Save the complete job as a .labelsheet.json project
To revise the same label job later, save it as a .labelsheet.json project. Paper settings, label elements, embedded images, merge data, used positions, and output settings can be stored in one file and restored later.
The project file can contain the actual merge data and embedded images. If the job includes addresses, customer data, or internal identifiers, remember that browser-local processing does not mean the exported project is free of sensitive information; store and share the project file accordingly.
Mobile editing is supported, while fine alignment is often easier on desktop
On mobile, selecting an element reveals a fixed action bar for editing, duplicating, reordering, and deleting, and a long press can open a context menu. These controls are designed for touch rather than simply shrinking the desktop UI.
Fine placement of many elements at sub-millimeter scale, or reviewing a large merge dataset, can still be more efficient on a wider desktop display. Choose the device that fits the job.
This solves a different problem from standalone QR creation or tiled poster printing
If the goal is simply to create one QR code, a dedicated QR tool is usually simpler. Label Sheet Maker is useful when, for example, you want to load 100 product URLs from CSV and merge each product name and QR value into the same label layout before arranging them on a real label sheet.
Large Print Tiler also creates print-ready PDFs, but it splits an existing large PDF, image, or SVG across ordinary sheets for assembly afterward. Label Sheet Maker repeats one label design across fixed positions on label stock, so the geometry problem is different even though both workflows end in printing.
CSV, images, code generation, and PDF creation run in the browser
CSV / TSV files, pasted tables, local images, QR / barcode values, project files, and print-ready PDF generation are handled in the browser. The runtime Content Security Policy includes connect-src 'none', and the app does not rely on runtime CDNs, external processing APIs, analytics, telemetry, or remote fonts.
The Browser Kitty or GitHub Pages version still needs the initial request that loads the app HTML, but the app does not upload the label data selected or entered afterward to an external processing server. Very large custom sheets, many high-resolution images, or large merge datasets can still consume substantial browser memory on the device.
